Three things cannot be long hidden: The sun, the moon, and the truth - Buddha
Sun and Stars
Without the sun there would be no life on earth.
It is a sobering thought, and it makes the sun seem pretty special. It is the very center of the solar system. It is remarkable. And yet... it is also only a pretty common star among uncountable other stars in the universe. Nothing special really and in the big picture, pretty insignificant. Yet, it is what gives us light and warmth; life itself. It's often been an inspiring thought to me when I've felt small and unimportant: For someone we are the star that is so much more than that; we are their sun. And for this issue of Alte, we are looking at those two things: Sun and Star, and we hope you all enjoy reading this last issue of the school year and that you will come back after the holidays for more articles, puzzles, drabbles and all the other good stuff our contributors provide us with issue after issue. So sit back, relax, and maybe enjoy a few citrus fruits along the way. As always, we want to thank all of our wonderful readers and contributors who make this paper what it is. We could not do it without you. As always, we would of course love to hear any comments and feedback you may have. If you wish to contact us, you can do so through e-mail or by the handy little form at the bottom of this page. On behalf of the Alte staff, we hope you enjoy this Issue, and all of which to come. |
