To make matters worse, the professor of this course was about as exciting as watching paint dry was. He always seemed sleepy and his voice was so monotone in nature, it was a wonder he never blacked out from self-inflicted boredom. Maxim Trevelyan Writer, Ravenclaw It was 8 am and Tasha was just one of the fifty sleepy college students that zombie walked into the lecture hall on Monday. Mondays were bad to begin with, but this early? It seemed impossible that anyone would be lively at all. Even with as much caffeine as humanly possible in their body. Tasha never realized that college would be so hard.
To make matters worse, the professor of this course was about as exciting as watching paint dry was. He always seemed sleepy and his voice was so monotone in nature, it was a wonder he never blacked out from self-inflicted boredom. Tasha had a perfect comparison when she described him as Professor Binns from the Harry Potter series. She took her usual seat in the last row and moved her backpack so it partially obscured her view of the professor and vice versa. It was the perfect placement for sleeping on the desk without drawing too much attention, if any. As the professor started the lecture, Tasha started scribbling and only a few minutes passed before she succumbed to the sweet release of darkness. Tasha jerked up from her sleep at a shrill noise, wiping off the drool on her face and notebook. The source of the noise was the bell that signalled the end of the lecture. Looking down at her notes, Tasha saw that she barely wrote anything before she fell asleep. Turning to her left, Tasha asked the girl she sat next to, "Can you tell me the point of the lesson in a sentence or two?" The girl rolled her eyes and replied, "Conquerors came for land, and everyone died. The end." Tasha gave the girl a thumbs up and quickly jotted the words. She stuffed her things into her backpack and ran out of the lecture hall for her next course.
