There was absolutely nothing that I could do. Fate had already marked out my destiny for me, and I was resigned to live by it. Shiloh Adlar Writer, Ravenclaw There was absolutely nothing that I could do. Fate had already marked out my destiny for me, and I was resigned to live by it. That still did not keep my mind from wandering about what I could have done if I had not been chosen for this path before I was even born. The truth was, I wish I had been my brother.
My brother had been born with the good life. Though we trained together, I was the one they looked at and cast out when I decided to do the opposite of what they believed. My brother frowned on me as I left the village. It was then that I thought I had escaped it, that I gave myself the opportunity to become someone or something else. It was a lie. Years have passed and people look at me as though I cannot be trusted. Then there are those that see the truth. Others believe they follow me blindly, but their eyes are not deceived by the veil that has fallen across our world. We still fight in our own way to end the destruction without the need for prophecy. Or so I thought. I was found again and brought to my knees. What a fool I was to think I could escape my destiny. What a fool to think I could shape it the way I wanted to. The chains of fate bounded me and my followers and without even realizing it, it lead me straight into its path this entire time. I was chosen to never know love. I cringed. My brother stood beside me, and our eyes met, his filled with spite and mine filled with the power of dark magic that I had embraced so many years ago. Perhaps in this fight, we two must fight as one. I was chosen for the path of darkness, but my brother had chains of fate around him just the same. We were not inseparable, but we would never be separated either. The forces of light and dark would come together to bring balance once and for all. He knew love. I knew hate. Without one, the other could not exist. We would end destruction and save our world.
