Star Crossed Sirius Fudge Writer, Hufflepuff It was a lazy Sunday afternoon. Sirius was in his dorm room, trying to write his Potions homework. He was writing his last six inches when he remembered his early years at Hogwarts. He was more innocent then, and had more likely gotten out of trouble than the past few years. He remembered he had his phials of memory labeled “Departures” in his trunk. Those were the sad memories he had, containing people that had once been a big part of his life in Hogwarts. He decided that the homework could wait and proceeded with playing with his memories again.
He took a phial labeled “Enid”. Enid was a badger in Sirius’ year. She was his first close friend at Hogwarts. He emptied the memory in the pensieve he borrowed from a wonderful Hufflepuff professor and dived into it. It was summer after his first year in Hogwarts. Sirius was reading a letter from Enid. It was a sad letter as Enid would not go to Hogwarts the next year, and the years after. Her parents decided that she should study in Castelobruxo in Brazil. It was the school where almost all the wizards and witches in South America studied. Sirius knew she would enjoy it there, as Castelobruxo specialized in Herbology and Magizoology which were her favorite subjects. After all, the rainforest of Brazil offered the students most of the world’s magical herbs and beasts. She would have a blast in there for sure. Sirius remembered that he felt empty after reading the letter and would just go out of the house the next day to play. He got out of the memory and the pensieve. Several people also left Hogwarts. As Sirius laid on his bed. He remembered Sully and Fumei, both from Gryffindor, and Kai from Ravenclaw. He was sure there were many others that left Hogwarts but he was still hoping that they would roam the castle again. It seemed not meant to be, star-crossed, for now.
